Pop Classics Catalogue

This page is a catalogue of artworks, small businesses, and other projects made by and for the online classics community.

Each project has been chosen because it engages with Classical antiquity in a creative or community-oriented manner. It should additionally be non-academic in nature. Priority will be given to creators engaged with the @shelley_stans page.

Applications & FAQ

If you are a small creator whose project engages with Classical antiquity, this page will walk you through applying to be featured in the Pop Classics Catalogue.

Please read carefully below. The forms are located at the end.

Who is allowed to apply?

Everyone is welcome to apply! I will do my best to accomodate as many creators and their projects as possible.

Keep in mind, however, that priority will be given to those who can prove that they are subscribed to, or otherwise engage with, the @shelley_stans account on Instagram.

What kind of content is allowed?

There are no real limits ... within reason.
We are looking for any and all creative or community-based projects that engage with Classical material in some way.

Creative projects can include visual art, written fiction, music, games, blogs, podcasts, and video essays. Small businesses selling crafts, prints, re-creations, or other products themed around Classics are also very welcome.

Community projects can include meme pages, discord servers, reading groups, educational initiatives, and performances, whether local/in-person or online.

The Pop Classics Catalogue will NEVER advertise projects or groups attempting to use Classical material for the promotion of violence, hate, and/or exclusion.

When can I apply?

Any time at all! This catalogue will accept projects on an ongoing/rolling basis.

Just give your admin time to catch up, I can be kind of busy.

Can I nominate another creator?

Yes! However, the process will be slightly different: please use the Nomination form below rather than the Application form.
